Keeping the Foundry User Program Responsive to Your Needs

The Molecular Foundry Users’ Association is composed of all Foundry Users. Upon beginning work on a Foundry User project, one automatically becomes an Association member. The Users' Association fulfills a function similar to that of a union—to advocate for and protect its members’ interests.
The Users' Executive Committee (UEC) is comprised of elected representatives of the Users’ Association. The UEC is charged by the Department of Energy (DOE) with general oversight of the Molecular Foundry User Program, and helps ensure that the Foundry continually provides Users with an exceptional research and learning experience. To that end, the Committee provides critical feedback and recommendations to the Foundry management team. The UEC also reports their findings and recommendations directly to the DOE, bypassing Molecular Foundry management and ensuring that any issues are dealt with impartially. The UEC currently consists of:
